Preconstruction Manager (Athens)

Known for delivering complex projects across healthcare, education, retail, multifamily, and commercial sectors, the company continues to grow its Athens operations and is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join the team.Position OverviewThe Preconstruction Manager will lead all preconstruction activities from concept through project award, working closely with clients, design teams, and operations to develop accurate budgets, schedules, and project strategies. This role plays a critical part in securing new work while ensuring projects are positioned for successful execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead preconstruction efforts for commercial construction projectsDevelop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and GMP proposalsReview drawings, specifications, and project requirementsCoordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing during the bidding processConduct quantity take-offs, scope reviews, and value engineering exercisesIdentify project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutionsCollaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal project teamsParticipate in client presentations, bid reviews, and proposal developmentSupport design-build and negotiated project pursuitsManage project turnover from preconstruction to operationsQualifications7+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or project management within commercial constructionStrong background in budgeting, estimating, and cost planningExperience with healthcare, education, multifamily, industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial projects preferredProficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, BuildingConnected, or similar estimating softwareStrong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and project delivery processesExcellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple pursuits and deadlines simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
