We are driving leadership in compute, graphics and AI and continuing to look forward to best-in-class solutions.\n\nTHE PERSON:\nThe Systems Architecture group is looking at a technical program manager role that will drive our System Feature roadmap of both our ecosystem technologies as well as our System Architecture features. You will work across all of engineering and business to meet overall initiative and/or product objectives.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDefines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance\nScope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers\nDevelop program schedule by considering various Driver, SW Stack components and HW/FW dependencies, negotiate and create a staffing plan that supports the schedule\nDrive the requirements of the CG portfolio System features, technology, POCs and NUD roadmaps\nResponsible to engineering leadership regular report out to executives on status, and eminent critical decisions.\nAbility to network, build relationships and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization\nManage a portfolio of strategic product and technology development initiatives\nLead cross collaboration across Customer Engineering, Competitive insights, and NPI teams into the architecture process for future generation planning\nDrive initiatives with diverse, cross-functional and globally distributed teams\nOversee multiple project teams and ensure that program goals are achieved\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nAbility to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items\nExperience in architecture system definition, chip and platform design and program management disciplines.\nStrong understanding of the general silicon engineering process (preferably CPU or APU) from concept to tape-out to production.\nHas discipline strength in both SW and HW design optimization.\nCustomer design experience is beneficial.\nAnalytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented\nExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis\nExperience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times\nExperience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Excel is an asset\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering\nFormal Project Management education, PMP certified\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-AP2\n#LI-HYBRID\nQualifications:\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
