We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.\n\nVulcanForms Inc. seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer for our Devens, MA, location.\n\nJob Purpose\nAs the Electrical Controls Engineer your primary initial focus will be electrical design, commissioning and troubleshooting of new equipment and its integration into the production environment. The role will evolve to include new development efforts related to continuous process improvement and managing rollouts of equipment upgrades.\n\nKey Accountabilities\nElectrical design (size, select, layout, integrate): electrical panels, servo drives, power supplies, transformers, sensors, cables, e-chains, fuses, relays, breakers etc\nIntegrating, testing, commissioning, and support of automation and electrical control hardware for industrial-scale metal additive manufacturing (AM) machines and support equipment\nCreate and maintain documentation related to electrical system design, including schematics, specifications, and test plans.\nWork closely with suppliers to source components and materials for electrical systems.\nLead the release process for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality requirements.\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical system performance or integration.\nWorking with cross-disciplinary team members to maximize the efficiency of these systems\n\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in electrical system design and development, preferably in the industrial machinery and automation\nProficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks electrical, AutoCAD electrical preferred).\nStrong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including instrumentation, analog and digital circuit design, high voltage components and signal processing.\nExperience with generating precise system level documentation: Work Instructions, Root cause analysis, Engineering Change Orders etc.\nExperience with automation platforms such as B&R (preferred), Beckhoff, Siemens, or others\n\nPreferred\nDemonstrated understanding and experience designing and tuning closed loop systems for control of position, pressure, flow, temperature, etc.\nExperience designing mechanical components and drawings, familiar with ASME Y14.5 standards for GD&T.\nDemonstrated attention to detail and a strong desire to take work from concept to completion Additive Manufacturing (AM) or Laser Welding experience\nExperience with Additive Manufacturing methods like Powder Bed Fusion (PBF) or Directed Energy Deposition (DED), or Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance are available to you starting on your first day of employment\nGenerous time off package including vacation PTO, sick PTO, and 14 company-paid federal holidays\n401(k) with company match and stock options\n\nVulcanForms Inc. is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer, valuing employees with diverse, multi-cultural perspectives.
