Job Description Master's Level Therapist – Mental Health & Substance Use Location:Lantana, FL Schedule:Full-Time | On-Site | Tuesday–Saturday Pay:$60,000–$67,000 per year Benefits:Medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and retirement benefits Avento Health, a recruiting agency, is recruiting on behalf of a behavioral health organization in Lantana, Florida for a full-time Therapist.This is a strong opportunity for a Therapist who wants hands-on clinical experience in residential behavioral health, dual-diagnosis treatment, individual therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. The role is based within an accredited residential treatment program serving adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs. The therapist will work as part of a collaborative clinical team and support residential clients through assessment, counseling, documentation, and ongoing treatment planning. The therapist will provide individual counseling, group therapy, clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. This role is well-suited for a Therapist who is comfortable working with adults in behavioral health treatment and wants to build strong experience in dual-diagnosis care.Key Responsibilities Provide individual therapy and group therapy to adults in a residential behavioral health setting Manage an individual caseload of approximately 10–11 residential clients Facilitate approximately 3–4 groups per week Complete biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required clinical documentation Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation Support clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as clinically appropriate Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to coordinated care planning Collaborate with clinical leadership, medical, nursing, operations, case management, and admissions teams Maintain ethical, professional, and client-centered standards of careQualifications Active Florida Registered Intern status in a relevant behavioral health discipline required or willing to register upon hire Eligible credentials may include: Active registration intern status or willing to register upon hire Experience with substance use disorder, addiction treatment, dual diagnosis, or adult behavioral health preferred Residential treatment experience preferred, but not required Strong clinical documentation skills Ability to work effectively in a structured behavioral health treatment setting Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment SunWave experience is helpful, but not requiredPreferred Background Experience in residential treatment, addiction treatment, substance use treatment, dual-diagnosis care, or adult behavioral health Familiarity with treatment planning, clinical documentation, medical necessity, and quality documentation standards Comfort working with adults who may have co-occurring behavioral health, substance use, psychosocial, and case management needs Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teamsSchedule This is a full-time, on-site position in Lantana, Florida.
