You’ll split your time between office work and visiting projects to meet with clients and contractors, solve problems, and keep construction moving forward.\nThis role is ideal for an experienced construction professional who combines strong field judgment with exceptional communication, technical fluency, and an eagerness to improve how homes are built.\nWhat you’ll do:\nAutonomously manage multiple ground-up residential projects from ADUs to single family homes.\nOwn project schedules and keep clients, contractors, and internal teams aligned.\nCoordinate procurement so materials arrive accurately and on time.\nSupport subcontractors by resolving issues and removing obstacles.\nMaintain clear, proactive, and trusted client communication.\nMonitor workmanship and uphold Type Five’s quality standards.\nIdentify ways to improve our operations, construction details, internal software, and contractor experience.\nCollaborate closely with our COO and Head of Construction, as well as our design, operations, and software teams.\nWhat you’ll bring:\nAt least three years of experience overseeing construction projects.\nStrong residential construction knowledge; design-build or ground-up homebuilding experience is preferred.\nExperience managing subcontractors, project schedules, and competing priorities.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills.\nConfidence working with clients and building productive contractor relationships.\nStrong attention to detail and practical problem-solving ability.\nComfort learning and using software to manage complex projects.\nHigh agency, sound judgment, and the ability to operate autonomously.\nYou’ll thrive here if you:\nAre creative, entrepreneurial, and excited to work at the cutting edge of construction and technology.
