Service Advisor
Excel Automotive and Tire is looking for a professional, energetic, and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team at our Surf City/Hampstead location. As a key member of our growing organization, you will serve as the primary link between our customers and our technicians, ensuring a seamless, transparent, and high-quality service experience.We are currently in a phase of strategic growth and are looking for someone who takes pride in their communication skills, understands the value of building long-term customer relationships, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Greeting & Communication: Provide a friendly, professional, and welcoming first impression. Listen carefully to customer concerns, document vehicle symptoms accurately, and explain recommended repairs in a way that is easy for the customer to understand.Workflow Management: Coordinate with our technicians to track repair progress, provide status updates to customers throughout the day, and manage shop workflow to meet deadlines.Estimating & Selling: Prepare accurate repair estimates, communicate the value of necessary maintenance/repairs, and obtain customer authorization.Operations: Utilize our shop management system (Tekmetric) to build repair orders, manage inventory, and maintain organized documentation for every vehicle that enters the shop.Quality Assurance: Ensure that all vehicles are inspected, repaired, and delivered to the customer’s satisfaction, maintaining the high standards of the Excel Automotive and Tire brand.QualificationsPrevious experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a high-level customer service role (automotive experience preferred).Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with shop management software (experience with Tekmetric is a major plus).Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.Why Join Excel Automotive and Tire?Growth Opportunity: We are currently executing a strategic plan to grow our operations and offer a clear path for professional development.Positive Culture: We prioritize a team-oriented environment where lead technicians and management work together to ensure operational success.Professional Environment: We operate with standardized workflows and modern tools to make your job as efficient as possible.
