Our organization is growing, and we believe your career should too.\nProject Overview:\nProject Solutions Inc. is seeking a qualified Construction Inspector to support the recapitalization of Pier Mike at USCG Base Charleston. The project involves demolition of the existing pier, construction of a new pier exceeding 1,000 feet in length and 80 feet in width, installation of a new Electrical Support Structure, dredging, bulkhead repairs, utility improvements, and development of storage and parking areas. The selected Construction Inspector will provide full-time construction inspection and on-site surveillance services throughout the duration of this marine infrastructure project.\nThis role is contingent upon award of project.\nResponsibilities and Duties:\nProvide full-time construction inspection and site surveillance services for the Pier Mike recapitalization project\nMonitor construction activities associated with the demolition of the existing Pier Mike and construction of the new pier\nReview and interpret contract drawings and specifications to support inspection activities\nInspect waterfront construction work, including concrete structures in marine environments\nObserve and inspect site improvement activities related to underground utilities and stormwater management features\nSupport oversight of design-build construction activities to help ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements\nMonitor construction associated with dredging, bulkhead repairs, utility installations, exterior storage areas, and parking lot improvements\nPerform on-site inspection services throughout the project duration and, when required, support extended work hours of up to 10% beyond the standard schedule.\nRequired Education, Skills, and Abilities:\nEducation/Certification:\nA Bachelor's degree in Engineering can be used as an alternative qualification if the candidate does not have 10 years of experience\nA Professional Engineer (PE) certification obtained within the last 10 years is an acceptable alternative qualification\nA PMP (Project Management Professional) or QA/QC certification earned within the last 10 years is also acceptable\nExperience:\nMinimum 10 years of construction experience as a Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager\nCandidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience may qualify if they also meet the specified education or certification requirements\nMinimum 2 years of experience on Federal Government construction projects within the last 10 years\nExperience serving as a government Construction Inspector, Contractor Superintendent, or Quality Control Manager on Federal construction projects\nAt least 2 years of experience with waterfront construction projects, including concrete structures in marine environments\nAt least 2 years of experience with site improvement projects involving underground utilities and stormwater management features\nAt least 2 years of experience working on design-build construction projects.\nKey Attributes & Skills:\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply contract drawings and specifications\nStrong skills in construction inspection and on-site project surveillance\nKnowledge of waterfront construction, including concrete structures in marine environments\nExperience with site improvement projects involving underground utilities and stormwater management systems\nFamiliarity with design-build construction projects and related construction activities\nUnderstanding of Federal Government construction projects and construction oversight responsibilities\nAbility to monitor and inspect work related to dredging, bulkhead repairs, utility installations, storage areas, and parking lot improvements\nAbility to work full-time at the construction site and support additional hours when required by project needs\nWhat Does PSI Offer You?\nThree options for medical plans plus dental and vision insurance offerings\n24/7 healthcare access to telehealth services for your convenience\nHSA\nCompany life insurance options for you and your family\nShort-term and long-term disability offerings\nPLUS an $800 monthly allowance is provided to offset your PSI insurance premium costs\n401(k) with a 4% employer match\nGenerous PTO, paid-federal holidays, and sick leave\nAlways the opportunity for professional development\nThe information contained herein is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities of the job, nor are they intended to be an all-inclusive list of the skills and abilities required to do the job.
