Process engineers will work closely with scientists and engineers to develop manufacturing processes for novel biotherapeutics. The PE1 will then execute upstream and/or downstream manufacturing operations they had a hand in building. The role will work with disposable-based manufacturing equipment and be involved in upstream manufacturing operations including performing aseptic operations, shake‑flask cell expansion process, bioreactor operations and media preparation; and downstream manufacturing operations including continuous protein capture, chromatography polishing steps, and drug formulation and fill.\n The staff member is expected to comply and follow written procedures for safety requirements, cGMP Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and manufacturing documentation.\n Who You Are\n \n Bachelor’s degree in biological science or engineering with 0‑3 years of relevant experience.\n Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.\n Effective task and time management organizational skills.\n Capacity to develop solutions to technical issues of moderate scope.\n Ability to organize, analyze and interpret, and effectively communicate individual results.\n Motivated, self‑starter with strong mechanical aptitude.\n Good interpersonal, team and communication skills.\n Excellent oral and written communication skills.\n \n Preferred Qualifications\n \n Knowledge of cGMP requirements to ensure compliance.\n Understanding of equipment, operations, and engineering principles used to manufacture biotherapeutics.\n Experience in cell culture principles and aseptic technique.\n Experience in purification principles and operations.\n Experience with disposable‑based processing equipment.\n \n Benefits\n \n Growth opportunities.\n Flexible work environment with site‑based work in Seattle and limited travel to Redmond.\n Inclusive culture.\n Innovative projects.\n \n Compensation\n The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $80,168.40 to $83,000; base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
