With approximately $100 million in charitable assets, the Foundation plays an important role in strengthening Dubois County and its communities through philanthropy, partnerships, grantmaking, and thoughtful stewardship of charitable resources.\r\nThe Executive Director will serve as the Foundation's chief executive, community ambassador, relationship builder, and strategic leader. Working with an engaged Board of Directors and a dedicated staff, the new leader will guide strategy, strengthen community and donor relationships, grow charitable assets, develop organizational capacity, and ensure strong financial and operational stewardship.\r\nKey Priorities\r\nTranslate the Foundation's mission and strategic plan into impactful results.\r\nBuild and maintain trusted relationships with staff, donors, fundholders, nonprofits, professional advisors, business and civic leaders, and community partners.\r\nGrow charitable assets through donor development, stewardship, planned giving, and new philanthropic opportunities.\r\nPartner effectively with the Board on strategy, governance, policy, and long-range planning.\r\nUnderstand emerging community needs and identify opportunities for the Foundation to provide leadership and impact.\r\nEnsure sound financial, investment, operational, legal, and organizational stewardship.\r\nThe successful candidate is a proven leader with strong strategic thinking, organizational leadership, and relationship-building skills who embraces and models the Foundation’s core values. They demonstrate integrity, accountability, transparency, humility, and professionalism.\r\nKey leadership competencies include:\r\nExecutive-level leadership and organizational management experience\r\nCommunity relationship building and stewardship\r\nStrategic thinking and the ability to turn vision into action\r\nExperience leading, developing, engaging and motivating staff\r\nDonor development, client relationship, or comparable relationship-management experience\r\nNonprofit, foundation, philanthropic, financial, investment, or related business acumen\r\nExperience working effectively with a governing board\r\nExcellent communication and public-speaking skills\r\nCommitment to fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, positive impact, and innovation\r\nFoundation/nonprofit experience is valuable, but is not required. Exceptional candidates may come from other relevant leadership backgrounds.\r\nCandidates should possess a bachelor's degree and at least ten years of relevant professional experience, or an advanced degree and at least five years of relevant professional experience.\r\nThis is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Board of Directors and based on-site in Jasper, Indiana. Relocation to the area is required.
