Create and maintain computerized records of these movements. Computation of the amounts of material or items required for specific mix orders is a responsibility of the Raw Material Controller. Must have knowledge of product manufacturing and related processes to successfully estimate how much raw material is required. At times this position will also be responsible for material orders globally. Knowing how to create, compile and maintain computerized records is an essential job duty of the Raw Material Controller. Records need to be able to verify inventory numbers and locations and to have available in the instance of an audit. Various software programs will be utilized to help with inventory control.\n\nKey Result Areas:\n\nEnsures that work has been completed in a safe and efficient manner.\nComplete raw material management:\nUse of computer software to assist in ordering.\nMust be able to work with logistics for raw material delivery (shipping/communicate w/ drivers to coordinate pickup/drop off).\nMust always be aware of inventory levels and work towards JIT.\nPhysically counting inventory levels\nCommunicate with other plants to offer/offload extra materials per recipe changes.\nReview inventory levels- bringing material from overseas-internal customers and external vendors.\nHeavy management of vendors\nCreate production schedule by working with production manager, and other internal candidates.\nInforms management of potential problems and obstacles, which could affect production.\nAssist in solving any potential problems or obstacles prior to affecting production.\nUtilize effective communication skills, technical competency, leadership and planning skills to maintain effective relationships with employees, customers and suppliers.\nPerform all other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience.\nFive to seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment. (specific manufacturing environment)\nPrevious experience with or training in JDE and Microsoft Excel\nSubstantial history working with production related ordering\n\nExperience making CAD models and CAD drawings with full dimensioning and tolerancing\n\nExperience and proficiency with Microsoft Office is strongly preferred\n\nKnowledge:\n\nMust be able to effectively communicate with all levels within organization.\nExcellent problem solving and decision-making skills based on objective data available.\n\nSkills & Behavior:\n\nAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.\nAbility to facilitate effective meetings.\nSuperior organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments focus on details and adhere to established deadlines.\nCapable of working independently or in a team atmosphere.\nContribute to a productive and positive work environment.\nInteract with others with integrity and respect.\n\nProblem Solving & Complexity:\n\nHandle more than one assignment at a time and meet technical requirements and completion dates for each project.\n\nBe able to gather information from others and to resolve issues when information appears to be conflicting.\n\nOvercoming obstacles with creative thinking.\n\nSoftwares:\n\n- Lotus notes/(preferred not necessary) JD Edwards/ Microsoft/ EVH/WIN/SPC/ EXCEL (mandatory)\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
