This position will be a focal point to drive programs throughout Eos with the expectation of employee engagement and proactive solutions.\nResponsibilities\nImplement and maintain company policies adhering to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.\nWork with all aspects of plant operations to ensure local, state and federal EHS regulatory requirements and company standards are met.\nOrganize, identify and help management complete permits pertaining to environmental health and safety, such as air emission(s) permits, fire safety permits, and operating permits\nKeep current on any changes regarding EHS laws and regulations that will impact the organization\nBe responsible and accountable for the preparation, submission and documentation of all EHS and company reporting requirements as required and meeting deadlines\nUnderstand and apply ergonomic and safety principles and fire-safety principles to improve facilities, equipment and workstation efficiency and minimize injuries\nManage indoor work environment including noise quality, air quality and workplace exposure monitoring programs\nManage hazard control programs (engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protective equipment), safe work procedures, hazard communication and SDS programs.\nEvaluates the company’s procedures, facilities, and equipment by conducting inspections to identify unsafe conditions and to implement safeguards and solutions.\nPerform studies and analyze data collected and provide reporting in required formats including incident investigations, trend analysis, workplace inspections, consultations, program efficiencies and training\nAssist cross functional team in incident investigation(s), root cause analysis, as well as in developing and implementing containment and corrective actions identified.\nAssist the development of an Eos Sustainability Program including recycling programs, energy/water/ waste reduction\nAssist in the planning and execution of construction, new equipment and manufacturing line set ups\nAssist in the development and delivery of applicable training topics as related to environmental, health, and safety.\nAssist in the planning and execution of construction, new equipment and manufacturing line set ups\nInteract with associates at all levels to improve safety and reduce accidents and injuries\nAbility to anticipate, plan, coordinate and execute projects to their successful conclusion\nAbility to work with all stakeholders (including contractors and suppliers) necessary to ensure company EHS requirements are met.\nAbility to develop, implement and evaluate effectiveness of an ISO (14001 & 45001) Management System.\nAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nWorks collaboratively with other departments.\nStrong Microsoft Oﬃce programs skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nStrong reasoning and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make good judgments and render good decisions based on evaluation of provided information.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAbility to travel as needed.\nAbility to concentrate on tasks, make decisions and work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.\nWillingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment.\nAbility to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation.\nAbility to use discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in environmental, health, safety, or related field of study required.\nMinimum of 10 years' experience.\nExperience leading multiple sites in complex environments.\nTravel\nLocal Travel\nOvernight/North America: Less than 10%\nWorking Conditions\nOffice Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
