Performs preliminary scoping, evaluation, and feasibility assessments. Selects and facilitates project teams to ensure effective cost management, resourcing capacity, and work efficiency.\nMajor Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities\nAligns with business partners to maintain a strategic roadmap for assigned programs. Builds relationships with business and IT partners to drive successful execution of program objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert in assigned functional area.\nDrives the annual strategic planning process. Creates visibility and transparency for strategic initiatives.\nFacilitates communications and report outs for assigned programs. Manages and facilitates projects within assigned programs. Oversees schedules, budgets, and deliverables associated with the integration of resources and facilities associated with project execution.\nWorks with stakeholders to manage risk, identify issues, and drive decisions critical to program success. Communicates key issues and program status back to stakeholders.\nEstablishes and implements processes, techniques, and procedures for project prioritization, project execution, project templates, reporting, issue resolution, and budget tracking. Ensures existing methods and/or processes promote effective and efficient operations.\nProvides high-level support, including building decision scenarios and analyzing recommendations for financial and organizational implications. Provides resource planning guidelines, such as cost estimates, resource needs, and budgets.\nSecures commitments from managers and negotiates resources with contractors and third parties.\nManages departmental needs and performs day-to-day supervision of project management associates. Provides leadership, coaching, and training. Develops and executes career progression plans for staff. Develops and manages an operating plan and departmental budget.\nNature and Scope\nSolutions require analysis and investigation.\nAchieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.\nManages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.\nWork Environment\nLocated in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.\nMost of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.\nTypically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.\nEducation and Experience\nTypically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.\nPreferred Qualifications\nRetail + consumer background is a plus.\n5+ yrs in Project Mgt/Program Mgt experience.\nOperational/Service improvement experience in Retail/Construction Industry.\nLean Six Sigma is preferred.\nIf you’re looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
