Systems AdministratorCorporate (NV) - Reno, NV 89511OverviewSalary Range $70,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level 4 Year Degree Travel Percentage Negligible Category Information TechnologyDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing Tiers 1-2 level support and assisting with Tier 3 support as designated by the Executive Director of IT. This position is primarily responsible for desktop and laptop support for staff, and secondarily responsible for administration of computing assets, including both server and client devices. This position is expected to provide exceptional customer service.This position serves as the primary point of contact for after-hours support on staff computers and end-user systems.Professional Expectations:Reliable, responsible, and professional demeanorStrong customer service, problem-solving and analytical skillsFamiliarity with AI tools/systemsExcellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users on the use of Adams SystemsAbility to work under time constraints, including handling several complicated tasks in a relatively short period of timeKnowledge of Enterprise IT hardware, software and operating systems for optimal configuration and connectivityIdentify, analyze, research, diagnose and resolve technical problems for Windows based workstations and servers, smartphones, tablets, network equipment and printersRESPONSIBILITIES:Provide system administration support for physical & virtual servers and network devices.Perform basic network troubleshooting.Provide computer support in accordance with Adams and Associates IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Provide support for desktop and laptop hardware, software, printers, and telephony devices.Track, respond to, resolve, and document customer requests and issues in the help desk system (Zendesk).Communicate proactively with end users about the status of help desk requests.Provide backup IT support for Center locations as assigned by Corporate IT Management.Provide technical support for projects assigned by Corporate IT Management.Coordinate with IT vendors and contractors to troubleshoot issues and maintain the availability and stability of externally managed environments.Travel occasionally to remote locations to support contract transitions, provide backup assistance, or perform IT assessments.QualificationsQualifications and Experience:Four-year degree from an accredited institutionORtwo or more years of systems, network, and computer support experience in a professional office environmentExperience supporting and maintaining Windows servers, desktops and laptopsSolid understanding of virtualization based technologies and solutions, such as: Hyper-V, VxRail, Nutanix, etc.Must have in depth knowledge of Windows-based softwareUnderstanding of local area (LAN) and wide area (WAN) networking with TCP/IPMust be comfortable leading one-on-one or group training sessionsRequired experience:Operating Systems: Windows 11, Windows Server 2019/2022/2025User Administration: Active Directory, Exchange Admin Center 2019, MS365Desktop Applications: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat DCServer Applications: A/V Admin, SQL, VoIP servicesServer Administration: DNS, DHCP, File and Print Shares, Remote Desktop ServicesSaaS Applications: Patch Management, Helpdesk Ticketing SystemsNetwork: Wired & Wireless Technologies, Remote Access VPNAdditional helpful experience:Operating Systems: LinuxServer Applications: Acumatica, SQL ServerSaaS Applications: Zendesk, Azure, Microsoft 365, Sophos A/V, Webex, NinjaRMMNetwork: Meraki, UniFi, Site-to-site VPNs, Client VPNsSecurity: MFA, Phishing, Encryption, LAPS, BitLocker
