This position will be under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Dean of NHP, the individual will provide technical support for all simulation and laboratory operations. This position supports Inter-Professional Education (IPE), immersive simulation experiences, and other scheduled patient simulation learning activities for multiple health care programs. This position has no responsibility for providing direct care to patients.\n\nWork Schedule: 20 hours per week. Periodic evening and weekend work may be required. The duration of this position is for approximately 3 months.\n\nQualifications:\nAssociate’s degree (or certified EMT or RT or licensed RN) in area of health sciences and/or technology is preferred.\nPrevious experience in simulation lab preferred.\nCPR Certification required.\nLicense, Tools & Equipment:\nMust have access to and use of own or public transportation.\n\nKnowledge & Skills\nKnowledge of health care simulation, technologies and applications.\nBasic knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.\nKnowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to simulator functions.\nKnowledge of audio/video equipment and software for recording, duplication, mixing and editing.\nProficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications.\nAbility to learn new software and hardware quickly and independently.\nAbility to assess, troubleshoot, and fix equipment failures in a timely fashion.\nDuties & Responsibilities:\nUnderstand the use and operation of different simulator technology.\nServe as simulator operator running pre-programmed scenarios with faculty instructors, assuring all equipment is set up for programs and courses\nSupport/assist in role playing applications, props placement and moulage set-up.\nProvide technical assistance, support and training to faculty, instructors and staff in use of simulation equipment, as necessary.\nMaintain inventory of supplies and equipment and conduct routine inventory updates.\nProvide recommendations for budgeting and purchase of equipment, supplies and materials.\nPerforms basic preventative maintenance of simulation and laboratory equipment.\nConduct ongoing maintenance of all simulation and laboratory equipment, including cleaning, repairing, assuring that all equipment is maintained in good working order at all times.\nMaintain record of repairs required and completed.\nPerform other related duties as required.\nSalary ranges and salary determination is based on experience & qualifications\n\nTrinity offers Free to all employees to include full size pool, walking track, weight & Cardio equipment, Free campus parking, Free Shuttle bus between campus & Brookland Metro station and dining services.\n\nTrinity is dedicated to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its students, faculty and staff.
