Structural Technologies VSL is hiring Structural Specialists to join our innovative team. This is not a welding position; it is a technical role focused on structural repair and strengthening that requires the ability to read blueprints and execute complex installation tasks.\r\nThis position will require travel.\r\nThis position is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience. There are no welding duties in this position.\r\n\r\nSpecific job responsibilities will include: Working alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks\r\nGeneral concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing)Operating power-tools (i.e rotary hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, etc.).Post-tension repair\r\nRebar/post-tension installation and stressing\r\nIndependently traveling between projects.\r\n\r\nThe ideal candidate will be / have:\r\n\r\nFocused on safety in all situations and environments.\r\nComfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites.\r\nTeam and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude.\r\nExperienced construction field technicians / laborers\r\nAdvantageous if familiar with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, and placement/tying of rebar.\r\nAdvantageous if familiar with the installation and/or stressing of post tensioning systems\r\nFamiliarity with new construction and existing buildings\r\nComfort with working at heights\r\nThe ability to read and speak English.\r\nThe ability to lift material up to 50lbs\r\nGood hand-eye coordination & capable of standing for extended periods of time.\r\nMotivated to work more than 40 hours per week.\r\nDesire to grow and advance within the company with commensurate salary growth\r\n\r\nPrior experience in post tensioning is ideal but not required.
