You will work on high-impact systems, enabling development teams through improved CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and observability.\n\nIf you enjoy building foundational technology, influencing architecture, and working with automation, cloud infrastructure, reliability, and developer productivity—while seeing your work power large-scale applications—this role offers endless opportunity for impact.\n\nWhat you'll get to do\n\nDesign, build, and evolve cloud-native platform components and infrastructure in a SaaS enterprise environment\nDevelop and maintain scalable, resilient systems including microservices, APIs, databases, and distributed systems\nBuild and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and secure software delivery\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep)\nImplement and manage containerized workloads using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes\nImprove system performance, scalability, reliability, and observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions\nContribute across the full development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and support\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes and enhance developer experience\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments\nEnsure security, compliance, and best practices across platform architecture, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines\nParticipate in architecture discussions, influencing technical direction, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization\nEstimate effort, assess risk, and evaluate system impact for new features and platform changes\nContribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team\nTake ownership of initiatives and drive them through to successful delivery and continuous improvement\nParticipate in on-call rotations and incident response, supporting production systems as needed\nSkills and experience we value\n\n3+ years of experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering\nStrong programming skills in C#, .NET, or similar backend technologies\nHands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar\nExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native services\nProficiency with containerization (Docker) and familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus)\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or similar)\nSolid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and system design\nExperience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Application Insights)\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across application and infrastructure layers\nFamiliarity with security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments\nExcellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills\nLeveraging AI-assisted development tools in daily workflows\nWhat would make you really stand out\n\nExperience building and maintaining internal frameworks, shared libraries, or developer platforms, including self-service tooling\nStrong focus on writing secure, accessible, scalable, reusable, and globally ready code\nExperience working in a large-scale SaaS enterprise environment with cross-functional teams\nFamiliarity with microservices architecture and API management\nUnderstanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets)\nWhat’s in it for you\nDayforce is fueled by the diversity of our talented employees.
