The role focuses on PLC and HMI programming, control panel design, system integration, testing, and field commissioning. The ideal candidate is experienced with AllenBradley platforms, industrial networking, and has a strong troubleshooting mindset to deliver reliable, safe, and maintainable control solutions.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesign and develop PLC and HMI/SCADA control systems for new and existing machinery and processes.\nProgram, test, and commission PLCs (primarily AllenBradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix) and associated HMI projects using Studio 5000/RSLogix and FactoryTalk or equivalent.\nCreate, review, and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOM).\nIntegrate sensors, drives, motors, actuators, and other field devices; configure industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNet as applicable).\nPerform factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and handson commissioning and startup support at customer sites.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose control system issues, implement corrective fixes, and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and company quality procedures; incorporate machine safety interlocks and guarding requirements.\nCollaborate with mechanical, process, and project teams to ensure seamless system integration and ontime project delivery.\nDevelop and maintain system documentation, asbuilt drawings, user manuals, and training materials; train technicians and customers as required.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize control performance, reliability, and maintainability.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of experience in industrial controls engineering with handson PLC programming and commissioning.\nProven experience with AllenBradley PLCs (ControlLogix/CompactLogix), Studio 5000/RSLogix, and FactoryTalk or similar HMI software.\nStrong knowledge of ladder logic, structured text or function block programming, and control system design principles.\nExperience designing electrical schematics and control panels; familiarity with CAD/Electrical design tools and creating BOMs.\nWorking understanding of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, TCP/IP) and communication diagnostics.\nPractical experience with motor control, VFDs, I/O selection, and sensor integration.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills, field commissioning experience, and ability to work under pressure to resolve issues on site.\nKnowledge of electrical codes, machine safety standards (NFPA 70E, ISO 13849, or equivalent) and best practices.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.\n\nBenefits\n\nPaid PTO & Holidays\nFlexible spending account\nHealth insurance\nHealth savings account\n401k\nStable privately-owned company\nTons of growth opportunity!\nBonus\nYearly raise (no matter when you start!)\nNo layoffs - ever!\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
