We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative functions in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and supporting providers with timely and accurate documentation.This job will have the following responsibilities:Clinical SupportMeasure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weightRoom patients efficiently and prepare them for provider evaluationPerform diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and Point-of-Care Testing (POCT)Assist providers with basic clinical procedures as neededPatient Coordination & CommunicationManage in-basket messaging within the EMR system, ensuring timely follow-upsAnswer incoming calls, triage patient inquiries, and route messages appropriatelyCoordinate care activities in alignment with provider instructions and clinic workflowsAdministrative DutiesProcess and manage prior authorizations for medications and treatmentsHandle incoming and outgoing faxes and maintain accurate documentationUpdate patient records and ensure all clinical documentation is complete and accurateClinic OperationsMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam roomsFollow established clinical protocols and quality standardsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulationsQualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalentCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification (required)Strong knowledge of medical terminologyAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and organizational skills
