{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"96307a77603ccd8fa8aee4e9","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/96307a77603ccd8fa8aee4e9","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/96307a77603ccd8fa8aee4e9","title":"Instructor/Operator","description":"MIOSS Instructor/Operator\nThis opportunity is contingent upon contract award.\nJoint Base Lewis-McChord, WA\nJob Type\nFull-time\nDescription\nThe Instructor/Operator (I/O) shall provide support of mission support services that develop and use advanced learning technologies and methodologies to improve medical education and training for healthcare teams and patients for the purpose of improving healthcare options.\nJob Functions and Responsibilities\nConduct instruction on the following training and certification courses:\no Basic Life Support (BLS) recertification and instructor certification\no Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)\no Advanced Life Support (ALS)\no Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)\no Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Provider/Instructor Courses or Other Courses as required\no TC 8-800 Sustainment Training\no Instruct CLS IAW Deployed Medicine Guidelines\no CLS recertification and training/validation\nOperate MSTC Training Devices in support of 68W led sustainment training, TC 8-800 validation, and all TC3 Tiers.\nUtilize cadavers in MEDCoE approved Programs of Instruction\nConduct 68W NCO Train the Trainer Training\nConduct all other medical Just-In-Time Training (JITT) within MSTC capabilities properly approved by appropriate medical proponent.\nServe as primary and/or alternate program director and/or program administrator with the current credentialing authority, where no Government personnel are available to fill the role.\nProvide training certification instruments (cards, certification numbers, for completion of training)\nMaintain I/O instructor credentials for courses provided\nProvide administrative support as required.\nRequired Qualifications\nApplicant must be one of the following:\no Former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) Advanced Leader Course (ALC) Graduate\no Former Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8404\no Navy Independent Duty Corpsman (E-6 or above)\no Former Air Force 4NOX1\no Former Aerospace Medical Service (4NOX1) E-6 or above\no Currently licensed Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Physician\nPossess and maintain National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) with a level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher from a medically credentialed certified instructor.\nMust maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (via American Red Cross/other accredited certifying agency equivalents)\nNREMT Certified and current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)\nMust complete all tables of Training Circular (TC) 8-800, Medical Education and Demonstration of Individual Competence (MEDIC) on an annual basis\nComply with BLS Instructor certification requirement.\nCertifications highly preferred: NREMT Certified and current National Registered Paramedic (NRP), Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor certification\nFamiliar with computers; possess basic Microsoft Office suite skills.\nU.S. citizen, ability to obtain Contractor CAC.\nSecret Security clearance preferred.\nCapable of instructing a mixed population of Soldiers, both inexperienced and seasoned.\nAbility to conduct training in classroom or a field training/evaluation environment.\nDisclaimer\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
