Your contribution will be pivotal in supporting Daiso’s Mission: Create joy through a fun shopping experience with unique products at an extraordinary value.\n\nJob Summary\nThe Store Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, supports store sales, maintains merchandise presentation, processes transactions, and contributes to a clean, organized, and profitable store environment.\n\nWhen assigned to a Lead Shift, the associate also supports the Manager or Assistant Manager by helping coordinate shift activity, assigning tasks, supporting team members, assisting with opening/closing responsibilities, and escalating customer or operational issues as needed.\n\nEssential Job Duties\n\nCustomer Service and Sales\nGreet and direct customers in a friendly and professional manner.\nAnswer customer questions about products, promotions, discounts, and special offers.\nIdentify customer needs and recommend products or solutions to support the shopping experience.\nUpsell through appropriate product recommendations and maintain awareness of new products and promotions.\nPromptly resolve customer concerns when able and escalate complaints or sensitive issues to store leadership when necessary.\n\nStore Operations and Merchandising\nOrganize merchandise on shelves and restock merchandise when low or empty.\nAssist with back stockroom organization and set up of merchandise displays on the sales floor.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, checkout area, and back stock area.\nAssist with receiving, organizing, pricing, labeling, and replenishing merchandise.\nPerform routine inventory counts and support inventory management activities as directed.\n\nCash Handling and Administrative Support\nOperate the cash register and accurately process cash, check, credit card payments\nComplete store administrative tasks as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Manager.\nFollow company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and loss prevention practices.\nCarry out other duties as assigned based on business needs.\nMaintain awareness of loss prevention practices and immediately report suspicious activity, safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, or policy violations to store leadership.\nFollow all cash handling, inventory control, and asset protection procedures.\n\nLead Shift Responsibilities – If applicable, as scheduled Lead Shift\nLead responsibilities are performed only when the associate is scheduled or assigned to a Lead Shift.
