{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"960094d08982ddf402ddd52d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/960094d08982ddf402ddd52d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/960094d08982ddf402ddd52d","title":"Structural Engineer","description":"Licensed Structural Engineer – ADU Plan Review & Approval\n\n*Job Type: Full-Time*\n\nOverview\n\nWe are a growing ADU design, construction, and manufacturing company seeking an experienced *Licensed Structural Engineer* to review, approve, and stamp ADU plans for our projects.\n\nThe ideal candidate has strong experience with *residential construction and Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)* and understands California building requirements and the plan approval process.\n\nThis position will work closely with our architectural, design, permitting, and construction teams to ensure plans are structurally sound, code-compliant, and ready for city submission and approval.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Review architectural and structural plans for ADU projects\n* Perform structural engineering calculations as required\n* Review foundations, framing, roof systems, connections, and other structural components\n* Approve and stamp structural plans and calculations when appropriate\n* Identify required corrections or modifications before plans are submitted\n* Respond to structural plan-check comments and prepare necessary revisions\n* Coordinate with architects, designers, project managers, and permitting staff\n* Assist with engineering solutions for site-specific conditions\n* Help ensure plans comply with applicable California building codes and local jurisdiction requirements\n* Support the team in moving projects efficiently through plan check and permitting\n\nQualifications\n\n* *Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required*\n* Structural engineering experience in residential construction\n* Experience reviewing and stamping residential plans\n* ADU experience strongly preferred\n* Strong knowledge of California residential and building codes\n* Experience working with city plan-check departments and responding to corrections\n* Ability to review multiple projects and maintain organized documentation\n* Strong communication and problem-solving skills\n* Experience with prefabricated, modular, or manufactured ADUs is a plus\n\nCompensation\n\n*$10,000-$12,000 a month*, depending on experience and qualifications.\n\nWe are looking for an engineer who can become an important part of our ADU operation and work closely with our team as our project volume continues to grow.\n\n*To Apply:*\n\nPlease submit your resume along with a brief description of your experience with residential or ADU structural engineering, including your California PE license information and experience reviewing or stamping plans.\n\nJob Type: Full-time\n\nPay: $10,000.00 -
