Class C Driver (Sprinter / Bobtail Driver / Hazmat Preferred)

Job Description Job SummaryDrivers oversee assigned transportation routes to maintain safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations in compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments according to customer needs, and facilitating clear communication between dispatch, drivers, and customers to ensure exceptional service and on-time performance.Drivers are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, deliver excellent customer service, and always promote safe and efficient transportation operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperational Responsibilities• Manage assigned transportation routes and schedules• Ensure timely pickups and deliveries• Communicate route updates and changes with dispatch• Provide real-time support during traffic, weather, or emergency situations• Maintain professional interactions with customers and team members• Follow all company procedures and transportation policiesVehicle & Equipment Responsibilities• Conduct daily vehicle inspections• Report on maintenance or safety concerns immediately• Supervise proper loading and unloading of cargo• Maintain cleanliness and condition of assigned vehicles• Refuel and monitor vehicle fluid levels & track and report vehicle maintenance needsAdministrative & Communication Duties• Complete required reports and documentation• Communicate effectively via phone, email, and dispatch systems• Use company software and mobile applications as requiredSafety & Compliance• Follow all state and federal driving regulations• Adhere to company safety standards and protocols• Report accidents, incidents, or cargo issues promptlyQualifications• Valid driver's license appropriate for vehicle classification• Hazmat endorsement required for Hazmat positions• Strong customer service and communication skills• Ability to work independently and under pressure• Strong organizational and time-management skills• Ability to read maps and follow GPS/navigation systems• Clean driving record preferred• Experience in transportation or logistics preferredShift RequirementsCargo Solutions USA operates 24/7.• Monday through Friday schedules with variable start times• Typical shifts range from 8–12 hours• Availability for at least two weekend shifts per month requiredPhysical Requirements• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds• Standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs as needed• Ability to safely operate vehicles for extended periods• Adequate vision, hearing, and communication abilities for safe job performance Reasonable accommodation may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.Equal Opportunity EmployerCargo Solutions USA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
