The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers, vendors, bonding agencies, and legal advisors, to ensure contracts reflect HUBER’s business objectives and operational needs.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nReview, draft, redline, and negotiate various contracts including Equipment and Aftermarket sales contracts, Purchase orders and direct bids, Construction-related agreements (design-build, CMAR, public sector), Vendor agreements and service agreements.\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, HR, finance, and project management teams, to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation.\nAnalyze and negotiate terms and conditions for purchase orders and project contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.\nFacilitate contract execution by coordinating necessary approvals and ensuring all contractual documents are properly maintained.\nAdvise internal teams and leadership on contract terms, obligations, and potential risks.\nEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local laws affecting contract administration and procurement.\nCoordinate with bonding companies to secure required bonds and maintain accurate records of bond documentation.\nOversee the request, receipt, and distribution of insurance certificates to customers.\nEnsure proper execution and documentation of purchase orders and tax exemption forms as required.\nMaintain an organized digital and physical repository of contracts, amendments, and supporting documentation.\nMonitor and implement updates to existing contracts in response to legal or regulatory changes.\nProvide contract-related insights to project managers and finance teams, including special terms, delivery dates, penalties, and federal project requirements.\nConduct due diligence on new customers to assess contractual viability before acceptance.\nStay informed on industry trends, legislative updates, and best practices in contract administration.\nManage equipment order entry, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual requirements.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position has no supervision responsibilities.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nLight physical demand, able to sit at a desk using a computer, calculator and to concentrate and read for extended periods. Role will enter data into a computer daily.\nPOSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK\nThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, based on an approved schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand or for training opportunities.\n\nTRAVEL\nTravel may be required for training, or customer meetings off-site.\n\nEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field\nParalegal Certification or professional certification in contract management (e.g., CCCA, CPCM, CFCM) is strongly preferred\nA minimum of 5 years’ work experience in contracts administration, construction contract negotiation, or other relevant roles\nExperience with contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations\nDemonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts in industrial, construction, environmental, or public sector industries.\nFamiliarity with public sector procurement, bid processes, and bonding requirements is highly desirable.\nExperience working with independent manufacturers’ representatives is a plus.\nExposure to sales, sales management and/or project management in wastewater treatment industry or related field\nContract, risk management, insurance and bonding background preferred.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nConstruction Contract Management Expertise: Strong understanding of contract law, terms, and risk mitigation strategies.\nNegotiation Skills: Ability to analyze, negotiate, and structure contracts in the best interest of the company.\nAttention to Detail: Excellent ability to review contracts for compliance, accuracy, and risk exposure.\nLegal and Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant legal frameworks, including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) for government contracts.\nCommunication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners.\nAnalytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of identifying and resolving contract-related risks and discrepancies.\nOrganization and Documentation: Proficiency in maintaining digital and paper-based contract records.\nTechnology Proficiency: Experience with contract management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).\nTime Management: Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.\nCollaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with legal, finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure contract compliance.\n\nPre-Hire: Ability to pass a drug test, background check as it relates to the role, and completion of an I-9 form.
