{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"95fd76f6f838cd9be9cd2260","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/95fd76f6f838cd9be9cd2260","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/95fd76f6f838cd9be9cd2260","title":"Senior Project Controls Manager","description":"Overview\nWe are seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to lead cost management, schedule control, and performance analytics across complex construction projects.\nKey Responsibilities\nCost Control & Forecasting\nDevelop and manage project budgets, cost codes, and cost breakdown structures.\nLead monthly cost-to-complete updates, variance analyses, and margin-at-completion forecasting.\nMonitor committed costs, subcontractor agreements, change orders, labor productivity, and equipment utilization.\nProvide early-warning indicators for cost overruns and schedule risks.\nLead monthly risk discussions and reporting with Sr. Leadership\nSchedule Management & Progress Reporting\nReview and validate project schedules; ensure logic, sequencing, and resource allocations are accurate.\nTrack schedule performance against baseline and integrate schedule data into cost projections and earned-value models.\nEarned Value & Performance Analytics\nImplement earned value management (EVM) methodologies for self-perform and subcontracted scopes.\nGenerate executive dashboards and monthly reporting packages for leadership.\nChange Management & Risk Control\nEvaluate change events for cost/schedule impact and update budgets and forecasts accordingly.\nMaintain project risk registers and provide quantitative risk analysis.\nSystems & Continuous Improvement\nAdminister project controls systems (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, CMiC, Ecosys).\nDrive standardization of cost reporting templates and forecasting tools.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field.\nProficiency with cost control and scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Power BI, Excel advanced modeling).\nStrong understanding of contract terms, schedule logic, and cost accounting structures.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with construction projects ranging from $50M–$500M.\nFamiliarity with heavy civil and vertical construction, industrial, and aerospace construction\nExperience with ERP systems and earned value methodologies.\nPrevious Cost Control Management\n\nAt JP Donovan Construction, each project is approached as a joint effort between the client, design and construction teams.
