The successful candidate will be responsible for building Velvaere from the ground up—establishing its operational infrastructure, cultural foundation, and overall member experience. Rather than stepping into an existing framework, this leader will define how the community functions and how it is experienced across every touchpoint.Long-term success will be determined not by the strength of Velvaere’s location or physical assets, but by the consistency, quality, and differentiation of the experience delivered day to day.With significant investment already made to create a one-of-a-kind wellness and lifestyle community, ownership views this role as pivotal to realizing that vision.This position requires a builder who is energized by creation rather than maintenance—someone who will shape the systems, standards, and culture that define Velvaere for years to come and leave a lasting imprint on its identity.INITIAL PRIORITIES OF THE NEW GENERAL MANAGERPre-Opening & LaunchLead full operational build-out from construction coordination through Certificate of Occupancy.Develop SOPs across member flow, service delivery, safety, and emergency protocols.Establish scheduling systems, access control, technology platforms, and reporting infrastructure.Coordinate vendor installation and validate the readiness of all modalities and equipment.Recruit, hire, and onboard the full club team across all departments.Financial & P&L ManagementOwn the full operating P&L, including revenue performance, expense management, and margin optimization.Develop and manage annual operating budgets, capital expenditure planning, and staffing models.Provide monthly financial reporting to ownership with variance analysis and corrective action plans.Drive revenue through membership utilization, service mix, F&B programming, and modality adoption.Implement cost controls without compromising the member experience.The General Manager is accountable for the consolidated P&L of the Velvaere community, encompassing both Club Velvaere and the HOA. Day-to-day HOA administration is handled on a separate operational track, with financial oversight rolling up to the General Manager.Member Experience & ProductDefine and continuously refine the end-to-end member journey, ensuring seamless integration of wellness, recreation, hospitality, and social experiences.Deliver a level of service aligned with ultra-high-net-worth expectations, where personalization and anticipation are the standard.Establish an environment where discretion is instinctive, and service is intuitive, not procedural.Integrate F&B, wellness, recovery, outdoor adventure, and social programming into a cohesive, year-round lifestyle experience.Ensure Velvaere consistently delivers an experience that cannot be replicated elsewhere in the Deer Valley or luxury resort market.Leverage data, utilization trends, and member feedback to continuously refine and elevate the experienceTeam LeadershipBuild and lead the entire club organization from the ground up, including structure, staffing model, and leadership team.Establish a culture rooted in ownership mentality, accountability, and exceptional hospitality standards.Lead with a highly visible, on-the-floor presence, particularly during early operations and key member touchpoints.Create clear leadership cadence, communication rhythms, and performance management systems.Attract, develop, and retain a team capable of delivering a luxury, high-touch, and highly personalized member experience.Foster a team culture that thrives in both ambiguity (pre-opening) and precision (post-opening execution)Compliance & RiskMaintain compliance with applicable regulations, facility requirements, and licensing.Identify and proactively mitigate operational, safety, and liability risks.Culture and Operating EnvironmentVelvaere operates within a high-expectation, high-touch, and fast-paced environment.
