The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, advocate for clients in court and alternative dispute resolution, and contribute to strategic case development on issues such as construction claims, mechanic's liens, bond claims, and contract disputes.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage a full litigation caseload from intake through resolution, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.\nRepresent clients in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.\nDraft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, settlement agreements, and related legal documents.\nPrepare and take depositions, attend hearings, and conduct trials when necessary.\nHandle construction-specific claims including mechanic's liens, bond claims, payment disputes, and general construction claims.\nAdvise clients on insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and policy interpretation issues.\nDevelop case strategies, coordinate with experts and consultants, and supervise outside counsel as needed.\nCommunicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, risk assessments, and settlement recommendations.\nWork collaboratively with colleagues and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals; manage billing and case budgets.\nConduct legal research and stay current on changes in construction law, insurance law, and litigation best practices.\n\nQualifications\n\nJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar admission in OH\n3+ years of litigation experience; construction litigation and civil litigation experience strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated experience with mechanic's liens, bond claims, and general construction claims preferred\nProven trial or arbitration experience and comfort handling hearings and depositions.\nStrong contract negotiation skills and familiarity with construction contracts and related documents.\nExperience with mediation and alternative dispute resolution techniques.\nExcellent legal drafting, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.\nAbility to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and work independently and as part of a team.\nProficiency with e-filing systems, case management software, and discovery platforms.\nStrong client service skills, professional demeanor, and commitment to ethical practice.\n\nBenefits\n\n\" Medical\n\" Dental\n\" Life and Disability\n\" 401K\n\" Profit Sharing\n\" Bonuses\n\" Paid Vacation\n\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
