The Candidate will serve as a senior technical leader supporting enterprise cloud architecture, infrastructure modernization, and cloud migration initiatives across a large-scale technology environment. This role will design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance cloud adoption, governance, automation, and operational excellence.\nRequired Qualifications of the Cloud Engineer:\nApplicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.\n8+ years of technical architecture experience with hands-on engineering expertise.\n10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, DevOps, or enterprise architecture.\n5–7 years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments, including IAM, Organizations, networking, and cost optimization.\n3–5 years of experience administering Microsoft Azure, including RBAC, identity management, networking, and governance.\n3–5 years of experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.\nExperience leading enterprise cloud migration projects and supporting cloud platform operations.\nStrong understanding of enterprise cloud governance, public cloud infrastructure, and cloud security best practices.\nDemonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to engineering teams.\nPreferred Skills/Experience of the Cloud Engineer:\nAWS and/or Microsoft Azure certifications.\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other container technologies.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and deployment automation.\nFamiliarity with cloud security, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat detection tools.\nExperience with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, Datadog, Dome9, Aviatrix, or similar technologies.\nBackground in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), software development, or systems engineering.\nResponsibilities of the Cloud Engineer:\nDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.\nAdminister and enhance cloud management platforms through automation and Infrastructure as Code.\nPartner with internal stakeholders to plan and execute cloud migration initiatives.\nSupport the availability, performance, and reliability of shared cloud services.\nDevelop and promote cloud architecture standards, governance, and operational best practices.\nProvide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams throughout cloud modernization efforts.\nWork Location: Hybrid schedule based in Columbia, South Carolina. Candidates must reside in South Carolina. The first week is onsite for onboarding, followed by approximately three onsite days per month, with the remaining work performed remotely.
