This role owns hardware development from concept through deployment and combines electrical engineering, systems integration, compliance, manufacturing support, troubleshooting, and technical project leadership.\n\nThis role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, taking ownership of product outcomes, and working across disciplines to deliver reliable industrial products. You will serve as the technical owner for assigned product development and enhancement projects, driving schedules, mitigating technical risk, and ensuring successful delivery.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nDefine and maintain electrical and system-level architectures in sensor electronic products.\n\nDesign, review, and troubleshoot electrical products, PCB assemblies, and supporting documentation.\n\nLead root cause investigations and corrective actions for field, production, and development issues.\n\nOwn technical execution and delivery schedules for new product development and internal enhancement projects.\n\nDrive design transfer activities into manufacturing, including validation builds, production readiness reviews, and issue resolution.\n\nLead CE, EMC, and regulatory readiness activities in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.\n\nDevelop verification plans, validation protocols, design documentation, and technical records.\n\nWork directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support product development and production.\n\nSupport component qualification, sourcing, lifecycle management, and supply chain risk mitigation activities.\n\nCreate and modify mechanical enclosures, mounting features, and electro-mechanical integrations using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.\n\nSupport prototype builds, customer deployments, and manufacturing scale-up activities.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.\n\n5+ years of experience in product development, electrical engineering, systems engineering.\n\nExperience with PCB design, schematic capture, prototype bring-up, and hardware debugging.\n\nExperience with Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or equivalent ECAD tools.\n\nStrong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.\n\nExperience supporting products through prototype, validation, and production release.\n\nWorking proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD software, including enclosure design and electro‑mechanical integration.\n\nExperience managing technical tasks, priorities, and project schedules.\n\nDemonstrated ability to independently solve complex technical problems with limited direction.\n\nExperience supporting CE, EMC, FCC, UL, or other compliance and certification efforts.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with embedded systems and hardware/software integration.\n\nIndustrial automation, additive manufacturing, robotics, aerospace, or medical device experience.\n\nExperience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers.\n\nExperience with risk management methodologies including FMEA.\n\nPython, C/C++, or scripting experience.\n\nFamiliarity with Linux‑based systems and edge computing devices.\n\nSuccess in This Role\n\nLead development of next‑generation Phase3D hardware products.\n\nImprove reliability and manufacturability of existing products.\n\nDrive CE and EMC readiness activities for commercial product releases.\n\nDeliver new product development and internal enhancement projects on schedule.\n\nEstablish scalable engineering practices that support company growth.\n\nWhy Join Phase3D?\n\nWork on advanced industrial technology deployed at leading manufacturers and research organizations.\n\nHigh ownership and direct technical impact.\n\nFast‑moving engineering environment with real product influence.\n\nOpportunity to help shape next‑generation hardware platforms from the ground up.\n\nPhase3D is an equal opportunity employer.
