We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can own both sides of our payments story: building the integrations that process transactions, and building the data platform that makes those transactions visible and reconciled for our merchants.\nYou’ll join a scaled agile team distributed across multiple geographies, working on cloud-based and cloud-hybrid architectures that process high-volume restaurant payments daily.\nPayment Processing & Integration\nBuild and maintain payment integrations with PSPs across card-present (EMV terminal) and card-not-present (hosted/online) channels\nOwn terminal-to-cloud payment flows: device initialization, transaction processing, Store & Forward, and webhook-based reconciliation\nServe as a subject matter expert across the full payment stack, from terminal hardware through gateway to settlement\nPayment Data, Reporting & Reconciliation\nBuild the reconciliation platform (UI and back-end) that matches POS transactions against PSP settlement/payout records and surfaces discrepancies\nDesign matching engines and data pipelines that ingest settlement files, normalize records, and classify exceptions (voids, partial refunds, abandoned checks, offline payments)\nCreate payment analytics dashboards and reports (PAR insights, payout exports, transaction drill-downs) for merchant back-office users\nTechnical Leadership\nTranslate business requirements into working solutions; mentor engineers; maintain documentation and runbooks\nParticipate in code reviews and drive code quality across payment services\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n7+ years in software development with meaningful payments or financial data exposure\n5+ years in C# / .NET building APIs and microservices\nHands-on PSP integration experience: gateway APIs, terminal APIs, management APIs, webhook notifications\nEMV terminal integration: device pairing, transaction flows, certification, in-store troubleshooting\nFluency in payment domain concepts: acquirers, issuers, settlement (gross/net), chargebacks, PCI DSS, tokenization, PAR, authorization vs. capture, Store & Forward\nExperience building data reporting UIs (Vue.js, Angular, or React) that present financial data to non-technical users\nExperience with data reconciliation logic: cross-system matching, discrepancy identification, exception classification\nAWS services: ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudWatch, Parameter Store\nMongoDB and SQL databases\nElasticsearch or similar for transaction data querying\nGit, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Docker, Terraform\nBonus:\nEBT payment processing or gift card systems\nFraud detection/prevention systems\nRestaurant/QSR industry experience\nMobile wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay)\nInternational or multi-merchant payment platforms\nTerminal management and remote diagnostics\nWho You Are\nHigh ownership across both code and data. You don’t treat the reporting side as someone else’s problem.\nFinancially precise.
