You will guide a team of full-stack developers, contribute directly to product development, and help shape the technical direction of our platform while ensuring high standards of code quality, delivery, and collaboration.\n\n*The Responsibilities:*\n\nThe position is responsible for the entire software development lifecycle, including:\n\n* Develop accurate project effort estimates and staffing assessments for development projects.\n* Contribute directly to product development by writing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, testable code.\n* Analyze, design, and document technical solutions that meet business needs across the full software development lifecycle.\n* Conduct comprehensive code reviews enforcing engineering, coding, and design standards.\n* Guide the team in designing effective, efficient, scalable, and secure applications within the Educe Cloud software platform.\n* Define and enforce the company’s software development methodology in collaboration with engineering leadership.\n* Proactively identify technical risks in project deliverables and platform architecture and develop mitigation plans.\n* Stay current with emerging technology, AI tools and development innovations to enhance product and team performance.\n* Support enterprise software deployment, maintenance, and ongoing product improvements.\n\n*Technical Expertise:*\n\nIn addition to criteria listed in the Basic Qualification, ideal applicants meet the following requirements:\n\n* Web technologies: Responsive Design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON\n* Web services: REST and SOAP implemented using NodeJS and Express\n* Relational and non-relational databases MySQL/AWS Aurora\n* Modern DevOps tools and techniques including GitHub, CI/CD, and Docker\n* Enterprise application software installation and maintenance\n* Front End: Vue.JS, React, AngularJS\n* Experience incorporating Test Driven Development (TDD)\n* Experience with information security best practices\n* Demonstrable ability to resolve complex system or technical issues, often thinking on your feet, and offering multiple creative solutions or options\n* Hands-on experience using AI tools and agent workflow patterns to support the software development lifecycle.\n\nRequirements:\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical/IT field from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\n* Minimum 10+ years full stack software development experience specific to the required technologies outlined above\n* 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams including performance management\n* Experience with full systems development lifecycle concepts, including supporting enterprise software product(s) in a production environment\n* Proven ability to contribute to multiple products addressing diverse business challenges\n* Capable of independently researching, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting issues, products, and solutions\n* Ability to express oneself clearly in both verbal and written communication to technical and non-technical peers and stakeholders\n* Passionate about customer service, producing high-quality deliverables, and follow-through\n* Attention to detail, determined, and solution-oriented\n* Ability to work autonomously, but also within a team environment\n* Ability to travel to semi-annual firm meetings\n\nMust be able to pass a background check.\n\nU.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply, we are unable to sponsor at this time.\n\nThis job is 100% REMOTE, or can be based in our Bethesda, MD headquarters or New York office.\n\nThe job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
