This individual will be responsible for the structural design of facilities in support of a variety of markets including Technology, Corporate/Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in structural design and detailing of building related projects is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound structural engineering designs.\nIn the role of Structures Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:\n\nReview structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines\nWrite and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations\nIndependently coordinate the work of the structural design team through the design development and contract document phases of a project\nEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance\nConduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines\nTake responsibility for coordinating workload through design development and construction document phases to complete the documents on schedule\nCoordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, requests for information, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents\nPerform other duties as needed\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or BS degree in Architectural Engineering; Structural emphasis\nSE license\nPrevious structural engineering experience\nAutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar\nPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm\nA minimum of 5 years structural engineering experience\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree\nPrevious experience in general civil engineering\nRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
