This is an opportunity to contribute to high-profile government and industrial security projects while expanding your expertise in software development, electrical controls, IT, and automation.\n\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nLead & Develop: Guide a team of engineers as they design, configure, and deploy software solutions including HMI, PLC, and integrated controls.\nOversee & Manage: Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and task follow-up to ensure milestones are met.\nCross-Team Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between engineering and internal stakeholders.\nTeam Development – Support career growth through mentorship, training, and recruiting new talent. Lead interviews and represent SGTS at career fairs.\nDepartmental Ownership – Take full ownership of your team’s output, quality, and long-term success.\nProcess Optimization: Identify and implement continuous improvements within the department.\nAdministrative Oversight: Manage daily and/or weekly touchbase meetings for the team to ensure everyone is on task and address any questions. Review and approve timesheets, time off requests, etc.\n\nWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nRequired Skills & Experience\nLeadership: 3+ Years leading engineering teams and managing projects\nElectrical Control & System Design: Understanding of electrical schematics, panel layout software, and control networks (AutoCAD experience a plus).\nProblem-Solving & Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as a part of a team with a strong ability to prioritize tasks, projects and goals based on the larger, business, objectives.\nStrong Communication Skills: Experience collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams.\nHands-on Troubleshooting and Software Experience: 2+ years in electrical engineering, automation, or security technology.\nSecurity Clearance: Must pass government background checks.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in Security Systems – Familiarity with access control, video surveillance, and intercom systems.\nDegree or Equivalent Experience – Associate or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.\nWHY JOIN SGTS, INC.?\nWe offer a dynamic and flexible work environment that values work-life balance and professional growth.
