The Web Developer builds and maintains command website content, digital media products, and public-facing platforms in coordination with public affairs staff.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain command public affairs websites and digital content pages.\nUpdate and publish content to content management systems (CMS) and DoD-approved platforms (e.g., DVIDS).\nCollaborate with public affairs officers to ensure content accuracy, formatting, and release-worthiness.\nSupport development of graphics, multimedia integration, and accessibility compliance (Section 508).\nTroubleshoot website functionality issues and coordinate with IT/network personnel as needed.\nAssist in tracking website analytics and reporting audience engagement metrics.\nSupport social media page administration and content coordination as required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional web development experience.\nMinimum 2 years of experience in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and CMS platforms.\nExperience publishing content in compliance with public affairs release and security review procedures.\nFamiliarity with Section 508 accessibility standards.\nCurrent Secret security clearance.\nU.S. citizenship required.\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting a military Public Affairs Office or Command Information program.\nFamiliarity with DVIDS, Drupal, WordPress, or comparable DoD web platforms.\nBasic graphic design or multimedia editing skills.\nSecurity Clearance Requirement\nThis position requires a current, active Secret security clearance. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance level for the duration of the assignment in support of USARCENT.\nPhysical Demands / Work Environment\nWork is generally performed in a standard office or garrison environment. May require prolonged sitting, use of a computer, and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
