Position OverviewThe Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a key member of the hospital team, responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and their pets. In a general practice setting, the CSR manages a high volume of routine appointments, preventive care visits, and client communications while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and empathy.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver a warm, professional, and empathetic client experience at every interactionAnswer phones promptly and effectively, addressing questions, concerns, and requestsSchedule appointments, procedures, and follow-ups with attention to clinic flow and patient needsGreet clients and patients, ensuring accurate check-in and check-out processesEducate clients on preventive care, wellness plans, and hospital servicesProcess invoices, payments, and financial transactions accuratelyMaintain complete and accurate client and patient records in practice management systemsCoordinate communication between veterinarians, technicians, and clientsSupport the care team by managing workflow and client expectations during busy periodsHandle sensitive or emotional situations with compassion and professionalismUphold AmeriVet's standards of service, teamwork, and integrity QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required1+ year of veterinary customer service experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environmentBasic computer proficiency (experience with veterinary software a plus)Comfort working around animals of all sizes and temperaments Work Environment & ScheduleGeneral practice veterinary hospital settingFast-paced environment with a focus on wellness and preventive careRequires standing, walking, and interacting with animalsFull-time schedule, including some evenings and weekends as needed At AmeriVet, we're committed to your growth, development, well-being, and success.
