The jobholder’s primarily focus is on medium to long term continuous improvement efforts, but is also a technical resource to support day to day technical inquiries.\n\nSpecifically, the jobholder focuses on the following functional accountabilities:\nSHE:\nParticipate in SHE reviews (e.g. Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, Management of Change, Process Hazard Analyses, etc.).\nReport incidents, near misses, and hazard identifications, and lead investigations onsite with appropriate conclusions and sustainable actions.\nMaintain knowledge of INEOS safety rules and ensure all personnel follow them.\nEnsure workplace practices are in conformity with established guidelines (IGGN).\nPromote the INEOS 20 Principles\nPerformance indicators: On time safety and cyber security training, Report required annual near misses and 60-sec check forms.\nProcess Optimization:\nResolve technical issues involved in operating the plant and communicate these solutions to others for execution.\nWrite and/or review operating procedures and provide appropriate training.\nTrain plant personnel on existing and new processes.\nProvide problem-solving support to the operations and maintenance teams.\nFacilitate and own process areas, production, and quality technical issues by identifying and recommending solutions and improvement opportunities.\nProvide engineering assistance and expertise to Operations and Maintenance as needed.\nDetermine optimal operating conditions for the plant to achieve a safe operation, which meets the production plan and produces a quality product at minimum cost.\nResponsible for defining and maintaining the operating envelopes.\nPerformance indicators: Delivery against annual objectives, Operating reliability, Process safety management compliance\nProjects:\nPlan, coordinate, and monitor internal projects from inception through completion.\nCoordinate and direct activities of fixed duration to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the determined timeframe and budget.\nMonitor project progress, assess issues, and recommend resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.\nPrepare and present capital approval funding requests.\nReview status of projects and budgets.\nCoordinate the operational aspects of assigned projects.\nCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and contractors for support in the development and implementation of these projects.\nDetermine the feasibility of proposed projects and recommend the structural, mechanical, electrical, operational, and/or other requirements for management approval.\nEvaluate vendor proposals and designs, and exercise effective judgment around functionality, cost, and timing.\nDevelop supporting project and process documentation and reports.\nSupervise the installation of all Engineering projects pursuant to project requirements.\nCoordinate and review contractor and vendor activity and interface with maintenance and production personnel as required ensuring all Company standards are maintained.\nLeverage and manage plant functional resources to successfully deliver project results.\nPerformance indicators: Deliver assigned projects on time and on budget\nLevel of education and Experience in general\nA Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline is required.\nMinimum 2 years manufacturing experience, ideally in a chemical manufacturing facility is preferred.\nTechnical skills\nProven ability to analyze complex technical issues to the fundamental level and propose practical solutions.\nExperience in driving continuous improvements and working within process industries.\nCompetent in the use of Microsoft software and the ability to develop competency in the use of additional software applications as required.
