On any given day you will be challenged on three types of work – Innovation, Business Intelligence and Data Management: Innovation\nUse Open Source/Digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous, and different varieties of data sources and platforms\nBuild well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers\nDemonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives\nBusiness Intelligence\nPartner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization\nDrive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies\nData Management\nDrive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions\nWork collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governance\nBuild and execute tools to monitor and report on data quality\nOur ideal candidate will have\nDegree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline\nScripting experience in (Python, R, Spark, and SQL)\nStrong desire and experience with data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data)\nExperience utilizing and developing within AWS services\nBasic Qualifications\nCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 5 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master’s Degree plus at least 3 years in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date.\nAt least 3 years of experience in at least one scripting language\nAt least 1 year of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization tool\nAt least 1 year of experience in big data technologies\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics discipline\nAt least 4 years of experience coding in Python, R, Spark, or SQL\nAt least 4 years of experience working within process management and improvement methodologies – Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.\nAt least 2 years of experience utilizing and developing within AWS services\nAt least 2 years of experience delivering Data Governance and Data Quality Management concepts and practices within the financial services industry\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nThis position is based in a professional office environment and requires regular onsite presence during business hours.
