Telecommunications Provisioning Engineer (Fujitsu)

Job Title: Fujitsu Network Engineer Location: Brooklyn, NY (ONSITE) Type: Contract Duration: 12 months Job Description: Fujitsu Network Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer with expertise in Wideband Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) equipment, specifically the Fujitsu FW7420, 8-Channel CWDM Mux/ Demux Module, and associated technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling end-to-end installations, design, migration, and maintenance of WDM equipment. Additionally, experience with Fujitsu ADVA Solutions and familiarity with CWDM Active Transponder Equipment are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: 1. End-to-End Installation: Perform end-to-end installations of Fujitsu FW7420 and related WDM equipment, ensuring proper configuration and functionality. 2. Design: Develop network designs, including capacity planning, routing, and wavelength allocation to meet specific project requirements. 3. Migration: Plan and execute network migrations, ensuring minimal disruptions to existing services while transitioning to new WDM solutions. 4. Loops Terminating at Core Site: Manage and maintain network loops that terminate at core sites, including troubleshooting and optimizing performance. 5. Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of WDM equipment, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to specifications. 6. Familiarity with Fujitsu ADVA Solutions: Possess knowledge and experience with Fujitsu ADVA Solutions to effectively integrate and support these technologies in the network infrastructure. 7. CWDM Active Transponder Equipment: Be well-versed in CWDM Active Transponder Equipment, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
