Architect/Project Manager - Healthcare, Schools, RetailPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Architect/Project Manager to lead design and delivery for healthcare, educational, and retail projects. This role combines creative architectural leadership with hands-on project management: defining design direction, producing and reviewing construction documents, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have strong Revit and BIM skills, professional licensure (or NCARB certification), and experience managing complex institutional and commercial projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project teams from schematic design through construction administration for healthcare, school, and retail projects, ensuring design intent and client goals are met.Serve as Project Architect and Project Manager: manage scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and risk; develop and maintain project schedules and fee projections.Produce, review, and coordinate comprehensive construction documentation and specifications; enforce quality control and drawing standards.Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models and standards; coordinate model exchange with consultants and contractors; enforce BIM execution plans and clash detection workflows.Coordinate consultants (structural, MEP, civil, landscape, interior design, specialty consultants) and integrate consultant deliverables into the construction documentation.Manage client relationships and communication, lead client meetings, present design solutions, and document client directives and approvals.Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance processes, including code review, accessibility (ADA), life safety, and local authority coordination.Provide construction administration services including site observation, RFI review, submittal review, change order evaluation, and punch list management.Mentor and develop junior staff, conduct project reviews, and foster a collaborative, high-performance studio culture.Contribute to business development efforts: prepare proposals, support presentations, and maintain project pursuit documentation.QualificationsProfessional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution.
