Employment term is estimated to last 3 to 6 months.\nCandidates will be based out of our Midland Park, NJ office and will be responsible the majority of onsite work. As an IT Field Technician, you will perform onsite installation and maintenance support on a variety of computer hardware, printers, network gear, and general troubleshooting. This position does require traveling to our clients’ locations to perform onsite maintenance. Position would be 60% onsite, 40% in-house. Candidates must have their own means of travel. Most of our clients are within an hour of our Midland Park, NJ office. Travel is reimbursed based on distance.\nWhen not traveling to our client’s location, candidate will be expected to assist system setups, tier 1 support tickets, project work, as well as other assigned duties\nOff hours and weekend work may be required, but is minimal.\nCandidates must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess the ability to find solutions to problems without supervisor intervention.\nSome of the hardware you will be working with is as follows:\nWindows Servers\nWindows PC’s / Laptops\nCabling\nSwitches\nPrinters\nTypical Duties\nInstall new PCs\nMigrate data from old PC to new PC\nSetup and install printers\nSetup and install network hardware, such as switches\nGeneral IT troubleshooting such as connection issues, PC boot up issues, printing issues, etc.\nComputer peripheral installs\nHardware pickup / drop off\nBlue Screen of Death (BSOD) troubleshooting\nAdditional troubleshooting that can be not done remotely\nDuring times not onsite, take level 1 tickets and resolve issues remotely\nRequirements:\nCollege degree, related technical degree preferred.
