We are accepting applications for a dynamic individual with 5+ years experience in a full stack development environment and with at least 3+ years experience gathering requirements and creating technical specifications. We are looking for someone who is motivated by a fast-paced environment where technical standards and practices are valued. This role will work with Navacord's Broker Partners and third-party solution providers and requires someone with a solid IT background looking to interact and collaborate with engaged stakeholders.\r\nWHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Develop solutions using full stack Microsoft Azure based development tools and standards such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure DevOps, Microsoft .NET Core, Microsoft .NET Framework (C#), ASP.NET Core. Handle legacy applications as required (e.g. VB6, VBS).\r\nDesign solutions, optimize application performance, implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and development cycle workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub.\r\nDo full code reviews and work closely with architects to align with enterprise principles and strategy.\r\nGather business requirements and turn them into technical specifications in line with the organization's standards and guidelines.\r\nSupport existing enterprise digital assets and legacy systems. Debug and resolve technical issues across the full stack.\r\nIdentify and evaluate alternate solutions.\r\nIdentify technical risk early in the process while finding opportunities to leverage enterprise level technical assets (e.g., existing APIs, Rules Engine, Universal UI, Proposal Generator).\r\nEnsure to leverage best practices including continuous integration, automated deployment, use cases, etc. where applicable.\r\nConceptualize and develop relevant use cases for client engagements: proof-of-concepts (POC), proof-of-value (POV), proof-of-technology (POT), and production deployments.\r\nAddress various automation (RPA, AI, other) requirements, primarily around business process automation from multiple industry groups to quickly assess and arrive at a plan to deliver the required services.\r\nSupport issue resolution that arises in day to day running of RPA and AI processes and provide timely responses and solutions as required. Provide BAU support.\r\nUse solution integration design using Web Services / RESTFUL API access, SDKs.\r\nFacilitate working and training sessions with Broker Partner staff, providing structured forums for discussion, decision-making, and learning.\r\nWork effectively in a projectized, cross-functional environment through collaboration and planning and disciplined execution on interdependent activities.\r\nWHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.\r\nMust have 5+ years experience as a full stack developer and have experience with both the front end and back end.\r\nExperience developing with the Azure and .NET toolset is a must.\r\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and with DevOps/GitHub highly desirable.\r\nMust have 3+ years of experience gathering business requirements and turning them into technical specifications.\r\nProficient in working in an agile, continuous integration environment.\r\nAbility to understand business processes and create process flow diagrams.\r\nStrong analytical skills, working with structured and unstructured data sets.\r\nStrong communication skills, able to relay complex messages and teach new concepts.\r\nSelf-driven and confident approach to tackling accountabilities with pace.\r\nKnowledge of Canada's P&C; and/or Benefits insurance brokerage industry is desirable.\r\nExcellent customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills.\r\nWilling to travel to other Navacord offices across Canada, as required\r\nWHAT WE OFFER Health and Dental Benefits\r\nRRSP Match Program\r\nHybrid Work Environment\r\nPaid Vacation Time\r\nSick Days\r\nAdditional PTO available\r\nThis is for a replacement role\r\nNavacord DOES NOT utilize artificial intelligence in the screening, assessment, or selection of applicants for this position.\r\nWe are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible recruitment and employment experience.
