This includes RF components, antennas, radomes, support structures, composite/metallic component/structures, and full scale RCS/RF test fixtures. The candidate is to work design and fab of hardware in mostly a research and development environment with some production efforts. The candidate could be deployed to ADP or production programs, with mostly in a classified program, supporting a mix of flight and non-flight hardware. The mechanical engineer works closely with electrical engineers in RF designs as well as other disciplines (M&P, stress, EEE) to produce novel RF and RCS solutions for platforms. The successful candidate is a strong mechanical engineer who can drive challenging interdisciplinary problems from clean sheet design to fab, to test of hardware. Performing under tight schedules, the candidate needs to be a strong communicator and have strong project management skills.Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering or related STEM degreeWorking knowledge of CATIA V5, 3DExperience, or similar CAD experienceExperience with detail part / assembly design.Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)The candidate is not expected to be an expert, but should have knowledge in the fields of technical design and fabrication of metallic/composites materials.Experience with design/integration of air vehicle platform(s) or aerospace componentsDesired SkillsExperience with mechanical design of Electromagnetic/RF components, electrical packaging, power system layout, and circuit board designGeneral knowledge in fundamental EM theoriesExperience in design for additive manufacturingExperience managing various programmatics of projects (schedule, costs, procurement activity)Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
