Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) are designed for security of the network to be centralized into regional architectures instead of locally distributed architectures at each military base, post, camp or station.\n\nEducation and Experience:\nHigh school and 3+ years of experience. Associates and Bachelor's degree, preferred.\nDoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance prior to start date\nSecurity+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification within 60 days of start date\nNetwork+, CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certifications preferred\nAbility to participate in a 24/7 shift work environment, to include working nights and weekends.\nRequires competency in one or more of the following devices/vendors: CISCO, Avaya, Nortel, ACME Packet, Oracle, Palo Alto, Session Boarder Controllers (SBC), H.323 endpoints, or Juniper.\nExperience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management\nPrior Military experience or experience working as a contractor in a Government environment is preferred.\n\nResponsibilities:\nSelf- motivated and driven to seek solutions to resolve monitoring errors, using research and documentation.\nThis position directly supports the DISA-provided JRSS capabilities and services in our 24-7 Global Network Support Center working in our JRSS NOC.\nResponsible for overall network engineering support for customer programs including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the DISA Enterprise Network.\nSolve routine technical problems following established procedures and policies\nWork directly with Engineering team to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments.\nDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve network related issues through monitoring, testing, and servicing network equipment.\nRemedy GTMS/ITSM experience is a plus.\nCustomer service experience.\nUtilize network monitoring tools to monitor, track and resolve issues.
