Senior Industrial Engineer
Broad Functions:The senior industrial Engineer's role is to lead detailed engineering assessments on facility/operational changes from conceptualization to complete design ready for implementation by conducting baseline evaluations, performing data analysis and capacity analysis, developing process specifications, and generating engineered AutoCAD layouts. The engineer also provides technical support to the operation team to enhance performance, providing a road map and process flow.Prior experience with 3PL, Retail, Distribution, Reverse Logistics/E-Commerce, and/or startup experience is a plus. Driven.Duties and Responsibilities:1. Subject Matter Expert for leading/performing engineering assessments that contain baseline cost and baseline performance, performance gap opportunities, quantifying the opportunities, and proposing a business solution to our customers (conversion of non-transactional tasks into CPU, leading introduction /implementing of emerging industry practices to optimize operational performance with clear ROI).2. Analyze client data to determine order profiles, storage media application, product slotting, velocity, SKU affinities, and ABC analysis.3. Update or propose a new plant or workstation layout to optimize operation and workflow.4. Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring new ones to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the operation.5. Analyzing data for trends and recommending a roadmap of improvements and solutions.6. Performing RCA (Why, why.), providing and assisting the operation team in identifying soft and hard. countermeasures for improvement.7. Mapping, modeling, and video business processes to improve business capabilities.8. Acting as a technical expert or coach for business-critical positions by providing training and guidance from the productivity and labor management nSITE/Takt.9. Regularly perform capacity analysis by department to determine constraints and capabilities for managing high volumes or work orders.Title: Sr. Industrial EngineerReports to: VP of Engineering
