The Shift Supervisor (Sergeant) provides direct first level supervision of day-to-day transport operations that include the supervision of transport teams. The Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Site Supervisor and is responsible for direct oversight and planning of daily shift schedules, workflow, and day-to-day operations of transportation teams. The Shift Supervisor also coordinates G4S tactical operations with customer’s in-house supervisors.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nFirst level supervision of transportation teams and operations; manage daily shift schedules; interface with customer-level supervisors and Site Supervisor; evaluate performance of Transportation Officers; clearly articulate directives, policies, and procedures to subordinate personnel\nLiaise with G4S first and 2nd level supervisors; frequent meetings with customer-level supervisors concerning operational and personnel issues\nReport incidents, statistical requirements and status reports to Site Supervisor, Compliance Manager and Fleet Manager; provide weekly physical security-hours reports; submit timely incident reports; provide status reports as required\nAssess operational needs of transportation teams, and determine, develop and implement measures to satisfy needed items\nProactively identify vulnerabilities to operations specific to safety and certain events such entry and exit attempts; develop and implement solutions that mitigate identified operational vulnerabilities\nAssess and evaluate enhancements to operational efficiencies and coordinate recommendations with Site Supervisors\nQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):\nMust possess a high school diploma or equivalent\nMust be able to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing\nMust be able to pass a state licensing test if you will be driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle\nMust be a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States\nAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; G4S will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws\nAs a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law\nMinimum of two (2) years of driving experience and a minimum of 21 years of age (as required by the Department of Transportation)\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience in any combination of the following:\nLaw enforcement\nMilitary police\nSecurity officer engaged in functions related to civil or administrative correctional operations\nMust be at least 21 years old or minimum required by the state, if higher\nMust be able to read, understand, and comprehend legal regulatory rulings and guidance\nEffective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately\nPlanning and organizing skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications\nProblem solving and active listening skills\nAssess and evaluate situations effectively; able to synthesize facts, concepts, and principles\nAble to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy\nTeam leadership skills; coaching, mentoring, motivating others\nSetting and achieving goals\nAttention to detail\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):\nTexas Commission License for armed security personnel\nPossession of a current and valid Commercial Driver’s License with a Passenger endorsement\nFluency in multiple languages (reading, writing, and speaking)\nPossession of an active federal clearance\nBENEFITS:\nMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance\nEnrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements\nHolidays, sick leave, and vacation provided in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)\nG4S Secure Solutions (USA) Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
