This role is in a pilot lab and requires a mix of hands-on and quantitative analyses. You will be responsible for developing and maturing process workflows, establishing critical to quality metrics, and utilizing statistical process control on our journey to release this technology in an Apple product.\n\nDescription\n\nIn this role you will:\n\nDevelop, evaluate, and improve microelectronic laser, interconnect, stacking, and packaging processes.\n\nDrive process readiness activities and prepare for transfer to manufacturing.\n\nImplement procedures to inspect, test, and evaluate reliability of equipment, process, and products.\n\nEstablish SPC systems and maintain data collection and performance measurements to track performance consistency.\n\nConnect with multi-functional groups on schedules, metrics, and risk mitigation to facilitate process advancement.\n\nCollaborate with vendors to assess specifications, purchase of equipment, and evaluate products against quality standards.\n\nDefine integrated device critical to quality metrics and implement solutions that achieve repeatability and reproducibility targets.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nMS with 5+ years of proven experience in Semiconductor, Thin Film Display, Solar, Optical Coating industries or an equivalent technology.\n\nDemonstrated competency in applying quality methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, or PDCA to solve technical challenges.\n\nTechnical knowledge of quality assurance and automation equipment related to thin films, optics, machine vision, and stacking.\n\nLead engineering projects to scale such as in technology transfer to pilot lines or high volume manufacturing.\n\nExperience with various thin film deposition techniques such as PVD, LPCVD, ALD and associated metrology and characterization methods.\n\nPractical experience in statistical analysis and formal problem solving tools (SPC, GR&R, DOE, ANOVA, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA, RCA, FTA, etc.).\n\nDemonstrated ability to work with multi-functional teams to implement solutions that enabled new capabilities, productivity, quality, or solved a technical challenge.\n\nDemonstrated use of AI/ML tools to improve process efficiency and uncover data-driven insights for\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nBS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience in Thin Film Display, Solar, Optical Coatings, Semiconductor, or equivalent technology.\n\nExperience in thin-films development or process integration such as in assembly, stacking, automation, or packaging.\n\nTravel to suppliers and manufacturing facilities expected Apple is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
