Paralegal

Fast Growing Litigation firm is seeking a full time paralegal. We are a fast-paced law firm and provide significant substantive legal experience for paralegals. The job does involve scheduling and organizational tasks similar to paralegal roles at other firms, but we also ask our paralegals to do substantive legal work including document drafting, record analysis and summarization, client contact, and other similar tasks. For skilled paralegals, the position can grow over time to handle more complex work on more complex cases, and there is room for promotion to a senior paralegal role.Our firm prioritizes quality of life and a healthy working environment, mentoring, and providing top notch service to our clients. We are looking for a candidate with a great work ethic, determination, willingness to work in a team, and strong communication and organizational skills.Compensation for full time employees:$50,000 - $60,000 starting base salaryBonuses available based on job performanceHealth insurance with employer contribution401(k)Gym membershipOther benefits can be discussed in interviewsRequirements:Ideally applicants will have at least one year experience working in a legal setting. A paralegal degree or certificate is helpful but not required. We will consider applicants looking to begin a career in the legal field, if they are the right fit.This position is based in Chicago, and candidates should expect to be in the office at least two days a week. Candidates unable or unwilling to commute to our Chicago office at least one day a week will not be considered. Pursuant to our firm vaccination policy, all staff meeting in the office are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.After setting up the initial interviews we typically ask applicants to provide a resume, school transcript (unofficial is fine), and 2-4 professional references as part of the application process.
