High School Special Education Teachers (2)
Ellsworth High School is seeking two dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teachers to join our high school team.Key Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs Design and deliver engaging lessons adapted to meet individual student needs Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and differentiated instruction Assess student progress and maintain accurate records Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and accommodations Stay current with best practices in special education and instructionQualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, or related field (Master's preferred) Valid state teaching license with endorsements in Special Education Experience teaching high school students with diverse learning needs Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive equipment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with special needsPreferred Skills Experience with co-teaching models Knowledge of transition planning for students with disabilities Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systemsWe offer competitive salary and benefits.
