Develops implements, manages operational goals, and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.\nManages regulatory audits at the property.\nCreates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.\nResponsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and providing recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental/region budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to the Executive Director.\nEnthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department/Regional customer service goals.\nLeads and develops the Sr. Internal Auditor and/or Internal Auditor.\nPrepares and follows audit programs to conduct audits.\nPerforms detail testing of source documents to ensure compliance with requirements of Internal Control Manuals, Regulatory Rules/Acts and departmental policies and procedures.\nPerforms observations and analysis of departmental/Regional procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiencies are consistent with pre-established guidelines.\nDevelops and implements alternative procedures to enhance operations.\nDevelops improvements to procedures, operational efficiencies, and continued compliance.\nIdentifies weaknesses during audits and recommends solutions.\nCompletes audit files with working papers referenced to the audit programs.\nLiaises with external auditors and gaming regulators to communicate information and resolve problems, as needed.\nDevelops and maintains relationships with property senior management in order to obtain feedback and provide additional management support, as needed.\nLeads the audit team in the development of reports and recommendations.\nMaintains audit files, ensures files contain planning memos, programs, and reports and follows up to ensure audit recommendations have been followed.\nAnalyzes data obtained for evidence of deficiencies in controls, duplication of efforts, extravagance, fraud, or lack of compliance with law, government regulations and management plans, policies, or procedures.\nCompletes planning re: the theory and scope of audits and related audit program.\nFoster an environment that embodies Bally’s Born to Entertain philosophy by creating a fun-filled, entertaining atmosphere.\nEnthusiastically promote Bally’s customer-centric culture of offering superior guest service and actively building long-lasting guest relations.\nPerform duties and responsibilities associated with the Illinois Gaming Board Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program.\n\nWork Environment & Physical Demands:\n\nRegularly required to see, talk, hear, walk, and stand\nOccasionally required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds\nRequires visual acuity to perform close-up activities and peripheral oversight\nThe work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Ability to draft comprehensible reports on complex issues in a concise manner.\nAbility to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board and other jurisdictions, as required.\nPrior working experience with an audit software system and gaming specific software\nKnowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, applicable laws, and regulations as they relate to financial and casino issues.\nGaming industry experience\n5 year(s): Audit testing, accounting, auditing, and information technology audits, including supervisory and/or project management experience\nEducation\nPreferred\nBachelors or better in Accounting or related field\nLicenses & Certifications\nPreferred\nCert. Public Accountant\nCert.
