Surgical Tech Location: Salem, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,858 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist/Operating Room Technician Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State licensure requirements Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Ability to convert c-section to c-hyst Experience acting as CST for c-sections, including prepping OR, set-up for procedures, and cleaning/turnover of OR Assist with bilateral tubal ligations or salpingectomy Setting up tables for vaginal deliveries and assisting provider with sutures Description: Number of inpatient beds: 17, with 2 triage beds Patient ratios: 1:1-2 Secretary available on dayshift only; no techs Type of equipment used includes Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, and GE EFM Documentation system: Meditech, Centricity Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours No floating policy in place Patient experience requirements include courtesy and respect, following AIDET principles Advanced skills needed include: Temperature checks with blanket warmers and patient unit fridges Restocking supplies Patient room setup Cleaning monitor parts Answering phones Required uniform: Hospital provided scrubs (change upon arrival and departure) Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be followed 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule Be ready for huddle at 6:45 Additional information: New equipment and technology may be available Tenure and experience of staff Flexible scheduling options Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
