This role is critical in ensuring that our manufacturing workforce continuously improves their skills and contributes to the organization’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and development, with a focus on manufacturing. This position will be partnered with the Global, Regional and Local teams to support implementation of the learning management system (DRIVE FRS Learning) and other Voith sponsored or external methods at all the FRS sites. Within the United States and other countries as applicable, this resource will engage with local primary and secondary education systems to establish relationships that support youth apprenticeships and apprenticeships that enable Voith to ensure a constant connection and flow of recruits. The position works closely with the identified Trainers and subject matter experts to support content creation and will help improve the LMS as needed. They will also be the lead admin for the LMS System Globally and support other admins that help manage the system processes day to day. This is a hybrid work opportunity with proximity to Appleton, Neenah, Austell, Shreveport, Florence, and West Monroe.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nSafety first mindset with demonstrated personal commitment to health and safety\nDevelop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy for manufacturing employees that support global organizational goals.\nCollaborate with operations sites and subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives to build out and implement training.\nAudit and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives through assessments, feedback, and key performance indicators.\nImplement and maintain learning management system to track progress and training records.\nMaintain document control records with associated supporting documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and Voith Group Learning Management System.\nProvide coaching and consulting support to business leaders to identify and resolve gaps.\nIdentify industry trends and best practices through researching best in class practices.\nWill engage and cultivate relationships with educational institutions in proximity to the operating units to establish apprenticeships.\nContinuously scan the local, provincial, state, and federal opportunities for education and training grants and deploy strategies to secure and execute the grants at the operating units.\nProvide an innovation mindset and support change management of implementing new processes and learning technologies to drive training into the manufacturing sites.\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (e.g. Industrial Engineering, Education or a relevant discipline).\n3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and training.\nKnowledge of learning management systems is preferred.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nProficiency in training program design and delivery.\nAbility to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.\nStrong organizational and project management skills.\nExperience in the education fields with emphasis on skilled trades and or technical colleges including securing grants.\nAbility to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, is required. Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nTravel up to 30% of the time regionally and globally.\n\nWork Location & Hybrid Flexibility –\n\nHybrid work arrangements are a possibility; however, the successful candidate must be based in the United States and reside within a reasonable commuting distance of one of Voith FRS’s U.S. operating units, Appleton WI, Austell GA, Florence MS, Neenah WI, Shreveport LA, or West Monroe LA.
